What changed in each version. The app tells you when there's a new one; you can also check from ShellDock › Check for Updates.
Version 1.2.6 build 13
When editing a server, every field (password included) has a button to copy it.
If a connection fails, the tab shows the error and a button to retry.
Server search ignores case and accents, and accepts words in any order.
Version 1.2.5 build 12
Saved terminals: save a terminal on your Mac to the sidebar with its folder, command and shell (⇧⌘L, or “Save this terminal…” in the tab menu).
With Keep the session alive, whatever you leave running stays there even if you close the tab or quit ShellDock; open it again and you are right where you left off.
After quitting with ⌘Q your tabs reopen next time. Turn it off in Settings › General › Reopen tabs at launch.
A new terminal suggests the last folder you used.
Fixed: an update installed while the screen was locked could close tabs that never came back.
Version 1.2.4 build 10
When an update is downloaded and you have tabs open, the tab bar shows Update ready: restart and install it now (your tabs reopen) or let it install by itself when you quit ShellDock.
Closing the last tab installs a pending update right away.
Version 1.2.3 build 9
Fixed: you can now type @ and the other symbols that need the Option key (# [ ] { } \ | ~) on Latin American and Spanish keyboards.
⌥← and ⌥→ still jump word by word.
The License… menu and the license in About now open Settings.
The Version History button opens the release notes page.
ShellDock now updates itself without asking: with no tabs open it restarts on the new version; with open connections, it installs when you quit.
Version 1.2.2
New terminal themes: Dark, Light, Solarized, Dracula, Nord, Graphite and more.
Translucent mode to see your desktop and the apps behind, with adjustable opacity.
Custom theme: your own background, text, cursor and the 16 ANSI colors.
Pick them in Settings → Terminal.
Version 1.2.1
⌘S opens the connection list with the cursor already in the search field, and Esc closes it.
⌘F opens SFTP for the server.
⇧⌘T reopens the last closed tab, with its server or folder.
⇧⌘← and ⇧⌘→ switch tabs, also with a split screen.
With a split screen, each area shows its tab title, and the one with the keyboard is highlighted.
Going back to a single terminal enlarges the one that has focus; it no longer goes blank.
If a connection fails, the tab stays open with the ssh error in view instead of closing silently.
With Settings in front, ⌘W closes Settings instead of the tab behind it.
Version 1.2
ShellDock now speaks English: the app follows your Mac's language (Spanish or English).
Checkout, the thank-you page and the email with your key also arrive in your language.
Version 1.1
ShellDock is now free forever: SSH terminal, unlimited servers, keys, groups and one SFTP session at a time.
The license (14.99 USD, one-time payment, for 3 Macs and 5 iPhones or iPads) unlocks iCloud sync across Mac, iPhone and iPad, split screen and several SFTP sessions at once.
The 14-day trial still includes everything; when it ends, ShellDock switches to the free plan without locking you out.
Version 1.0.2
New “About ShellDock” window: version, your license status and shortcuts to the website, what's new and checking for updates.
From that window, one click on the license status takes you to Settings › License to activate it.
Version 1.0.1
One license for Mac, iPhone and iPad: the key travels through iCloud Keychain and activates on its own on your other devices (once the iPhone and iPad app arrives).
The license works on up to 3 Macs and 5 iPhones or iPads. Price: 14.99 USD, one-time payment.
Version 1.0
Tabs that split in two: drag a tab and drop it on “side by side” or “top and bottom”.
Collapsible groups and group management (create, rename, delete).
Breadcrumb SFTP path: one click to go back to any folder.
A tooltip with each tab's full name and shortcut.
Automatic updates and licensing, with a full 14-day trial.
